Political turmoil forced many Italian families from their homeland. In the 1890s, as many as 280,000 Italians fled. This, coupled with the Industrial Revolution, sent needed workers to the North End of Boston (“Little Italy”). They brought their culture with them – including pizza!
Boston Pizza Kitchen was voted by “Boston Magazine” readers in 2016 as one of the best places to get your slice of pie.
